261 – You Are Clean

261 – You Are Clean

March 3, 1987

When I woke up there was Holy Spirit conviction of sin, and much spiritual warfare going around and around me, but I got on top of the thoughts and feelings and got the victory!

I went downstairs to pray with Dan and asked him to pray for me.

We then pursued praying for the friends, nations, and families, on our list.

I was totally lifted.

I believe the warfare was to discourage me from going to Elim today.

God met me wonderfully. After a very good chapel service, with the Holy Spirit moving in worship and in conviction, I got my coat on, disappointed that there had been no call to come forward for prayer. Then I noticed that the communion service was being led in a side room by Sister Ruth (a regular Tuesday event).

So I went in, crying, and waiting on God.

Sister Ruth spoke of ‘blood’from a book by Dr. DeHaan. The blood carries food fuel and also carries garbage. “Would you want good food served to you in a garbage truck? No. But the garbage carried away in the blood does not affect the ‘food.’”

Then…without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.

The Spirit said to me, “His blood was shed for your cleansing of sin!”

Sister Ruth said that during chapel she had thought of Peter’s vision of ‘garbage’—when God said  to Peter: “do not call unclean what I have called clean!” Wow!

I was dealing with garbage when I woke up.

I felt God said to me: “This morning I showed you a big layout of garbage, but not to condemn you. By the blood of my Jesus, you are clean. Do NOT say you are unclean. You are CLEAN.”

Oh, what a mighty glorious wonderful God. I surely can tell ANYONE that his sins are forgiven—so great a debt of mine has been paid!

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19
